Saying farewell to a family home
The Unclutterer recently had a great post on downsizing. This can be an overwhelming task to be sure. One of the most beneficial approaches is to proactively decide what to do with items that will no longer be needed. My in-laws are great at this. They see downsizing in their future and are slowly giving away stuff they won’t need.

Photographing what you own. Possibly a trend?
It seems more and more people are photographing their belongings. In this case, Wellington Grey uses his camera as a decluttering tool in preparation for a long trip. See his before and after photos and read his story.

Hey guys, check out my fancy unboxing video of the new Apple Magic Mouse!
Loved this.

Brain time
In the (almost) week since we launched StashMate.com we have been in serious basecamp discussion about ideas for our beta release of the site. Our team is definitely not going to let this product slip quietly into the night.

StashMate Didn’t Pack Up Last Night on Vimeo (via Vimeo)
Its Sunday morning and if you look closely you’ll notice that Ian and Jaime are still wearing the same clothes. Yes, they are troopers and didn’t leave.
From their hard work the site is up and ready for the rest of us to start to testing.
Still much to do before demo time…

Over the weekend we got to a point of tabling every new idea. Its Saturday, some of the teams are thinking about dinner and we are thinking about all of the work we still have to do.
Development team is still working away and we give Dan a sneak peak of a few of our screens.

Saturday, update 2 - By this point in the weekend we had our plan down and we were running.
After this update our development went heads down and coded through the rest of the day, well past lunch on the next day.

Here is a video of the team while we were still in the early stages of forming our idea for StashMate.
At the time we knew we were making a tool that could help people with their packing and had a usable model to build from but over the next 24 hours the idea grew into so much more.
